You're welcome, oldtramp.

Another idea would be to use a hidden iframe, with a different sound clip embedded into different pages.

<iframe id="soundbites" style="visibility:hidden; height: 1px; width: 1px;" src="some_page_without_embedded_sound"></iframe>

<a target="soundbites" href="some_page_with_embedded_sound_#1">Sound clip #1</a>
<a target="soundbites" href="some_page_with_embedded_sound_#2">Sound clip #2</a>
<a target="soundbites" href="some_page_with_embedded_sound_#3">Sound clip #3</a>

All the different pages would have to be on a website that you have somewhere, and each would have a different sound clip embedded into it.

Instead of text (Sound clip #1, Sound clip #2, etc), you could have a photo of each player for people to click on. You could also have a "Stop music" link that loads the page without sound into the iframe again.

No matter which way you try, the sound clip would only play as long as someone stays on the page where they started it. As soon as they go to another page, it will stop and they'll have to start from the beginning again if they want to hear it.

I'm not good with music code, because I haven't used any since around like 1996, but it looks like you need to put the complete midi url when in the
<bgsound src="yourfile.mid" loop="1">
html code..

I notice you have:

<bgsound src="ChristmasMidis/Christian_Cmas_Medley"loop="1">

on your test board. Without the http:// and the .midi (or whatever) then the html can't work.

So see if this works:

<EMBED src="http://my.homewithgod.com/barbara4him/midis/ChristmasMidis/Christian_Cmas_Medley.mid" autostart="true" hidden="false" loop="false"><noembed><bgsound src="http://my.homewithgod.com/barbara4him/midis/ChristmasMidis/Christian_Cmas_Medley.mid" loop="1"></noembed>

If it doesn't Lesigner Girl can correct me in my ways emoticon

Did you try it before or after I edited my post?

I noticed that there wasn't a space between the "url.mid" and "loop=" code.

edited to add: I tested the code out on my test board and it worked in IE but not Firefox, but then I don't have a quicktime plugin for firefox I think.
