Images Instead Of Text

Using the Custom Language Set, you can replace some of the text on a board with an image.

An example of this is the standard text of 'New' which appears when a forum or thread has an unread post.

To replace 'New' with an image:

Firstly, you need to have your image hosted at a site that allows hot linking. Here's a list of free hosting sites:

http://bakheva.runboard.com/t8738

Then go to Control Panel>Board Management>Customize language set

Next to these two text IDs:

forum_list_newtext
topic_list_newtext

you would add code like this:

<img alt="New topic" src="INSERT IMAGE URL HERE" width="XXX" height="XXX" />

("XXX" refers to the image dimensions in pixels)

Images Instead Of A Custom Title

You can use an image instead of a Custom Title by going to Control panel>Board Management>Security Management>Manage User levels and custom titles>Define User Levels.

Use code like this in the title box:

<img alt="" src="http://MY IMAGE.jpg" />

Be very careful, though. If you leave out a " or don't close a tag properly, it could affect (ie. mess up) the 'define titles' screen.

There's also a limit of 60 characters that can be used in the title box.
